January 2012

The London 2012 Cable Car across the River Thames from Greenwich to Victoria Dock was supported on a pier sited in the river. Mounted on Red 7’s ‘Haven Seavoyager’, the 24m long reach excavator was used to excavate the foundation and place scour protection around the tubular piles. Situated directly south of the Olympic Park, the Cable Car will connect the main Olympic site with the O2 Arena.
