Protecting the coastline in Guernsey required the placement of over 10,000 tonnes of rock armour ranging from 1 to 3 tonnes in size.  Using a long reach excavator fitted with rock grapple and machine control system, the rock was used to reinforce an area of reclaimed land and had to move anchor stone along the revetment weighing over 6 tonnes at certain sections.
