WM Plant Hire was called in by Staffordshire Fire & Rescue service over a weekend this month to tackle a fire at a Rugeley Farm near Cannock Chase.  To avoid causing as much smoke disturbance, pollution and amid concerns of contamination of the local water supply, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue service took the approach not to douse the fire in water.  Instead the fire was covered in earth using our CASE 180 long reach to keep a safer distance while smothering and putting out the fire.
